I’m not the type to demand anything above and beyond my stated rates, however I understand that sometimes occasions come up that merit present-giving and I would like to make those a little easier by providing some guidelines as to things I enjoy receiving.
This list is by no means exhaustive and I encourage you to use it as a tool to help in your decisions instead of as a limiting factor.
My tastes in clothing are varied, though I tend toward tasteful and understated over flashy items. When it comes to jewelry I prefer pale metals - such as silver and white gold - with a taste toward elegant and interestingly designed pieces, especially if they happen to be subtly geeky.
If you'd like to gift me with something to remember you by I most frequently wear necklaces, rings and bracelets.
I'm definitely a girl who enjoys the hedonistic aspects of life - among those are good food, sweet treats and delightful drinks - and they're a simple way for you to indulge me.
I adore all kinds of sweet things - especially caramels, truffles and the occasional sticky delight - in addition to my ever present love of coffee and toffee flavours. Artisanal sodas and other non-alcoholic drinks are also a love of mine, especially strange/niche flavours.
If you'd rather not contribute to my candy cravings I have an intense appreciation for fruits - especially grapefruit, asian pear and pomegranate - and I'm always happy to receive venison or other game meats, especially if they come in the form of jerky.
I would love to receive postcards, either blank or sent from wherever your travels take you. Little bits of mail make my day, so this is an inexpensive way to bring a smile to my face and I'm happy to share my mailing address if you'd like to send me something from the road.
I've always been a voracious reader, so I would love for you to share a book that made an impact on your life or one that you return to when you're having a bad day. I prefer audiobooks, since I love listening to them when I'm traveling, but there’s always room on my bookshelves for something new.
And I know it's cliche, but gift cards are an easy way to gift me without having to pick out something specific. To that end, I would enjoy any from: Google Play (yes, they're probably for PokemonGO), Amazon, Target or Starbucks.
